Ware just completed construction of new maintenance facility on the back of their property at the company’s headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky.

The new building, which was a $1 million investment, replaces an old building that was not adequate for the scale of business WARE has now.

The 9,200 square foot building has an indoor start-up bay with a hood, drains in each bay and steam, water and gas connections. The new facility also features more connections for welders and a new paint bay facility. The building is has also been fitted for a 40-ton crane, which can be added in the future.

The new facility allows WARE employees to bring in more trailers and perform maintenance inside. Daniel Ware, operations manager, says he hopes the long overdue renovation will see a return on investment through more productivity.

Ware’s business has continued to grow steadily and with that growth is a growth in their maintenance division. The new building will benefit Ware’s customers through faster turn-around times on maintenance and more productivity as well as less weather-related

delays.

"This is really an investment in our employees too," said WARE. "This incredible new state-of-the art facility is going to be a quality place for our employees to continue to do their high quality of work in a better environment."

And, the employees agree. "Our management team was outstanding throughout this process," said Shop Foreman John Coulter. "The management team considered everything on this project and took input from the employees about how this building should be designed and built. They wanted the best set-up possible."

The building has been strategically set up to perform better testing on equipment. This strategy will assure that customers are getting the best quality equipment that Ware can provide, says Coulter.

"When these tools are put in the right place, you can see an increase in productivity," says Coulter.

On a daily basis about 10 – 15 people are employed in the shop. The atmosphere has totally changed, according to Coulter. "The guys are much happier coming in to this new facility every day. They have everything they need in a new, safer facility," says Coulter. They will be even happier in the heated shop this Winter.

Coulter also appreciates that the new facility is set up for the future and the shop is prepared to handle an increase in business and to supply more services to customers.

"This new facility was built with the customer and the employees in mind and for the future of WARE," said Coulter.
